Hammer mill, also called crusher machine, is the most commonly used auxiliary equipment in wood pellet production line or animal feed pellet mill, since not all raw materials have exactly the right size (below 3mm) for pelletizing. Usually it can process various biomass like corn, corn stalk, peanut shell, grass, bean stalk, wood shavings, sawdust, straw, cotton stalks, corn stalks, bagasse, alfalfa, switch grass and peanut shells.
Hammer mill could crush straws into canicaceous materials, which can be processed to feedings and biomass fuel. Compared to traditional fuel, biomass fuels have same volume calorific value and the features of strong combustion, long burning time and quick ignition, which is another ideal replacement of traditional fuels.
Wood hammer mill is the most widely applied grinding machine in wood processing industry, and its extensive recognition and popularity lies in the scientific structure. The rotor with hammer is rotating at a high speed when wood materials fall into the crushing chamber from feed inlet. Immediately, materials are smashed through the impact from high speed spinning hammer. The crushed materials, whose diameter is smaller than that of sieve pore, will leak out from the screen pore. The large particles will suffer from the strike from spinning hammer again until they become small enough to be squeezed from screen pore.

1. This series hammer mill is mainly used for crushing coarse sawdust, wood shavings, and wood chips to the fineness needed to be pelletized, or small wood pieces less than 40mm.
2. Direct transmission is adopted. The reasonable arrangement of hammers and gap between hammers and screens make sure the final products are in uniform fineness. The tool bit of the hammer is spray welded with carbon tungsten alloy.
3. The secondary grinding chamber is assembled in this machine. The base has good rigidity and little vibration.
4. The bearing imported is of high quality. When working, it has a low temperature rising.
5. Various thickening screen sieve sizes can be selectable. A quick-starting type door opening system makes it fast to change the new screen, easy to operate, and convenient to maintain.
